Working for us
Our Vision
FOOD AND DRINK POWERS OUR NATION and feeds our souls. Our industry is at the heart of everyone’s daily lives, providing nourishment and pleasure with a wide range of high-quality, delicious, affordable, safe healthy and more sustainable products that are enjoyed by everyone, every day. We’re productive and innovative too, as well as outward-looking, trading with the world as part of a sustainable food system.
The jobs and lifelong careers we provide support millions of individuals and their families right across the UK’s four nations. Together we’re proud of what we do and of who we are.
The FDF brings together manufacturers and other trade associations from across the UK’s food and drink industry, and we work with them to ensure companies across the sector grow and thrive. Our work gives our employees an opportunity to produce career-defining work.
The FDF’s teams are based in London, Edinburgh and Wales. Our culture is built on connection, care and purpose. Our people consistently tell us that what they appreciate most is the strong relationships they build with colleagues, the meaningful work they do, and the social culture fostered by initiatives like our Feel Good 4 Life (FG4L) team, who organise regular events throughout the year. From team volunteering days to our book club and away days, we create space for connection and reflection, because we know that great work starts with great people feeling supported and inspired.

What we offer
Hybrid & flexible working
Balancing your work and home life is important, which is why our colleagues can work up to 60% of their time from home. Our office is designed to work in a collaborative way, allowing colleagues to work from different spaces, such as quiet meeting rooms or booths. We understand that colleagues need flexibility in their working hours, so we’re happy to discuss early / later start and finish times where possible.
Health & wellbeing
We are dedicated to supporting both mental and physical wellbeing. Our Wellbeing Champions work hard to raise awareness of mental health in the workplace and are available to support colleagues. Our ‘Feel Good for Life’ team organises a calendar of social events each year, celebrating food and encouraging a balanced approach to diet, while improving social cohesion across teams. We also offer private medical insurance and annual health assessments in the office, and we encourage colleagues to stay active through our Health and Wellbeing allowance. If you’re an avid reader or looking to expand your reading list, you can join our Book club, which meets regularly.
Social responsibility
We are committed to making a positive impact in our community through various initiatives. We offer volunteering days that allow our employees to give back to causes they care about, and we regularly organise group volunteering sessions to support food charities. By participating in these activities, colleagues can contribute to meaningful causes while connecting with peers in a purposeful and fulfilling way.
