Food and Drink Federation Scotland Response to the Scottish Programme for Government 2024-25

Food and Drink Federation Scotland’s Chief Executive Officer, David Thomson, said:

“It’s great to see growing Scotland’s economy as a key priority in this year’s Programme for Government. Food and drink is a vital ingredient of Scotland’s success at home and abroad - that means the Scottish Government must work with us to ensure our industry has the best conditions for growth.

“It is positive that the First Minister has committed to continuing to improve how businesses and government work together – this is critical to ensure smart and fair implementation of regulations and policy.

“We will work closely with the Scottish Government to ensure the future industrial decarbonisation programme meets the needs of our food and drink manufacturers.
