Microplastics and impacts on the food and drinks sector

26 April 2024

Following the recent REACH restriction (Annex XVII Restriction on microplastics in the EU) on the use of intentionally added microplastic particles in the European Union, Ramboll presenters will address the question, how does this affect the food and drink sector?

Manufacturers of plastics and downstream users of plastics need to take note as further restrictions are on the way. Also, increasing requirements to disclose on corporate sustainability have caught out some major brands who have failed to transition away from plastics in their supply chains, and justify green claims.

This webinar will give insights into the requirements of the EU restriction on microplastics and their implications for food and drink, packaging and food contact materials, and identify significant derogations for use such as food additives and food.
