Britvic PLC - Britvic's Young Persons Programme

Britvic's Young Persons Programme offers young people practical experience in engineering, and comprises of a five-day week including three longer school days and two days on site at their National Distribution Centre at Lutterworth.

Launched in 2015, the programme has acted as a career pathway into a FTSE 250 company for local young people.

Britvic’s programme builds strong links with the community, gives participants real life experience and helps them build their confidence. Students are given formal interviews and targets and they also offer an opportunity for trainee managers at Britvic to develop their skills. During their time on placement, the students are given access to many departments across two different business units, and two partner companies in Wincanton and Eddie Stobart.

Britvic PLC have employed 50% of students who have graduated through the programme on a full time, permanent basis. This figure rises to 79% when including students who gained employment on summer temporary contracts or extensions with Britvic. A further 15% of students achieved employment with partner companies, Wincanton and Eddie Stobart.
