The Food and Drink has today published its end of year Trade Snapshot report which covers the period of January – December 2023.
The FDF publishes quarterly export statistical reports outlining the latest UK food and drink export figures, which support companies with market prioritisation. Our reports provide a wide range of content, including analysis on the UK's top product exports, key destinations for UK exporters, areas with growth potential, and practical insight from our partners.

In Q3 the UK’s largest manufacturing sector had a total export value of £6.2 billion, falling 5.5.% when compared year on year.
Food and drink, the UK’s largest manufacturing sector, has achieved record export figures for the first half of 2023, according to a our latest report.
The FDF Trade Snapshot shows that Exports were up 10% reaching £5.9bn in Q1 2023, driven by double digit growth to the EU and a £100m increase to Ireland. Sales to a large majority of our top 20 markets were up, led by 70% growth to Spain and to Singapore, while exports to Taiwan were up 35%.
The UK’s largest manufacturing sector has posted record figures for exports in 2022, with most categories now exceeding pre-pandemic levels to reach a record £24.8bn.
